Reno police arrested a 19-year-old suspected in a fatal shooting of a man on South Virginia Street Sunday night, according to an RPD press statement.
RPD arrested Fabian Bernal, 19, Monday on suspicion of murder with a deadly weapon and for discharging a firearm into an occupied motor vehicle.
Police responded to a report of a shooting at 2640 S. Virginia Street around 11:07 p.m. Sunday night. When they arrived, they located a man who had been shot. He was taken to Renown hospital where he died of his injuries.
Identification of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
RPD Sgt. John Silver of the robbery and homicide unit declined to release additional information, citing the ongoing investigation.
