Hey Washoe voters: Check out our voter guides before you mail in your ballot

With voting already underway for this year’s mail-in primary election, we hope you take a moment before filling out your ballot to learn about the candidates.

We are stiching together candidate guides for primary races in Washoe and Lyon counties, from the seven-way Democratic race for Congressional District 2 to the Washoe County School Board.

Our reporters at the Reno Gazette Journal have been piecing these guides together amid already difficult reporting circumstances (which have included mandatory weeklong furloughs each month). Your support for our journalism is also very much appreciated — we’re offering a Memorial Day Weekend subscription sale: $1 for the first 3 months

We’re doing our best to get these guides to you in a timely manner — your patience is appreciated.

So what’s already available?

Races for the Congressional District 2, the Reno and Sparks city councils, Washoe Family Court Department 11 and various Lyon County races. We’re still working on Washoe County School Board, Nevada Assembly and Nevada State Supreme Court guides.

Below is a list of links to those candidate guides for key local races that have primary races this spring.

We hope these guides provide some clarity before you vote.

Thanks, as always, for reading.
