Boy, 10, struck by motorcycle, suffers life-threatening injuries

A 10-year-old boy was struck by a motorcycle while he was standing in the road on West Fourth Street near Stoker Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to Reno police.

The boy was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The motorcyclist, who was traveling east on Fourth Street, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Speed and impairment are not suspected to be factors, police said in a news release.
